Human Anatomy and Physiology is offered to meet the needs of students who desire advanced study in the Life Sciences. It will also serve to prepare students interested in entering fields such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, and other related health occupations while advancing the knowledge of students who merely have an interest in the dynamics of the human body. This course is a systematic study of the shape and structure of the organs of the human body and the functioning of those organ systems. It includes cytology, histology, morphology, genetics, immunology, and pathology. Theory is introduced to foster critical thinking which will enable the student to apply authentic scientific research to support or refute conjecture
